Behind the Scenes of the Go Home Alone Music Video

I've already put some behind the scenes photos from my recent music video shoot on the blog, but now I have a video to give you an in depth sneak peak! It's easy to see how much fun I was having with my song, Go Home Alone! I didn't do a bad job on the outfits either did I? I did all my styling myself!

If you haven't picked up the song, Go Home Alone, yet, here are links to find it...

Celebs Are Always Copying Me: Hammered Ring Edition

intouch310

This blog is about my amazing hammered ring that I wore in my music video.

I have it in gold. I bought it at a fabulous boutique on 10th ST, here in New York City's West Village. The shop is called Soixante-Neuf, and I highly recommend their jewelry and sandals. Tell Ryan I sent you when you stop by.

Pictured are all the celebrities who are wearing this ring around town. This ring is great because it's big but comfortable on the hand. I love it!

I even wore it in my music video.

Can you spot the hammered ring in my music video? Check out 1:49 and 1:56 to see the best shots.

My Mobile Photos from the Music Video

During my music video shoot for Gardening from the Ground Up, Heather and I were both taking photos of me with my iPhone and uploading them to twitpic to be shared via twitter. In case you weren't following my twitter feed that day, here's what you missed. If you click on the photos you can see them larger.

Pete's Candy Store Gig Wrap Up

Thank you to www.TheSkint.com, a daily listing of free and cheap things to buy, see, do, and eat in New York, for featuring my Pete's Candy Store gig on their "around town today" section this past Monday, and for describing me as "sweetly folky texan singer/songwriter Sarah Elizabeth Foster."

Because of being featured on The Skint, a fan and former radio DJ who's been playing Gardening from the Ground Up Part 1 on the radio in Vancouver, came out to the show. It was so fun to meet her and hear about this radio station all the way in Canada!

Vancouver Co-operative Radio, CFRO, 102.7FM is a non-commercial, co-operatively-owned, listener-supported, community radio station. Located in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, Co-op Radio is a voice for the voiceless that strives to provide a space for under-represented and marginalized communities.

Along with that fun surprise at the show, I had also rushed from my music video shoot for my song, Gardening from the Ground Up, filmed that day. I don't know how I managed to do so much in one day, but it actually worked out very well. The gig was a great success! There wasn't an empty seat in the house, and the band sounded superb.

I will blog about more music video details later in the week!

My First Music Video

It's official, August 10th I'm shooting my very first music video for my song, Gardening from the Ground Up. It has been hard to coordinate all the schedules and confirm the concept, but it's all ready to go now. All I have to do is finish putting together my outfits because I decided to do my own wardrobe!

I don't know exactly what I'll be wearing, only one skirt is officially decided on, but let me tell you what, the skirt is FAB! It is so fab that the outfit will be coordinated around it. It is a design that I've only seen in fairy tales, and I'm in love with it.

Although the shoot will take place in August, the final product will not be ready till September, so hold onto your hats until then. And of course, it will be debuted right here on the blog!

Wish me luck!

The Balducci Lift

Check out this cool music video by The Balducci Lift from Dublin, Ireland. This band is old school friends of a friend of mine, Martin Ryan. I think these are really clever guys. It's not easy to make a funny video that doesn't take away too much from the music. Well done!
