Envelope Recycling

I've been wondering lately what you do with envelopes that contain small plastic windows. Can they be recycled? When separating plastic and paper to take out the recycling, I have always removed the plastic from the envelopes. This can be quite time consuming, especially if you have heaps of mail to recycle.

I decided to go to the internet, I found this great environmental blog called enviromom.com. In it contained the answer I was looking for...I found out I no longer have to take the plastic windows out, the recycling process does this for you! I carried on reading other really interesting articles on this blog, so interesting in fact that I have saved the website as one of my favorites.

These moms actually went to a recycling facility for themselves to get answers to their recycling questions. They found out that there are machines that can filter out the plastic from the envelopes.
